The event showcased respect, leadership, and sportsmanship, involving staff, students, parents, and special guests.

They tackled hands-on STEM activities, built bridges, and demonstrated critical thinking and teamwork, with MSPS students earning recognition for their engineering success
Kindergarten 100 Days of School Celebration
Kindergarten celebrated their “100 days of Kindergarten” milestone. Students made crowns, portraits of themselves at 100 years old, fairy bread, and craft projects featuring “100 items” (such as cupcake sprinkles, monster eyes, gumballs, stars, and hearts). There are photos of students with their crowns, group photos, and craft activities alongside the article.
Hunter Schools Dance Festival
The MSPS 3-6 Dance group performed at the Hunter Schools Dance Festival in Newcastle. Supported by the P&C (which purchased their costumes), the students delivered an amazing performance, deepening their engagement with dance and celebrating the arts.
GRIP Leadership Excursion
Year 6 student leaders attended the GRIP Leadership Conference in Newcastle. The training focused on leadership responsibilities, friendship, innovative ideas, and achieving personal goals. Students participated in interactive sessions and volunteered on stage, gaining valuable leadership experience to help them positively impact the school community.
Annual Swimming Carnival
Muswellbrook South Public School’s Annual Swimming Carnival, held early in Term 1, is a fun and competitive event that highlights students' swimming skills across all ages. This year’s carnival was a great success, with strong participation and enthusiastic support from spectators. Special thanks to Muswellbrook Swimming Club for their support and to our staff for organizing the event. Achievement ribbons are presented at school assemblies to celebrate students’ dedication and sportsmanship. The carnival promotes physical activity and fosters a sense of community and school spirit.
